Abstract paintings in hot summer

It is a long time since I have written something here. Sorry to all of you, I didn't have anythink to say.
In These summer days I try to survive the sahara weather, so I  am close in my coldest room and paint and learn etc.

There are some abstract paintings on silk, inspired with nature, but voluntarily flowing away.
I hope you feel something infront of these pictures.
Happy summer!

The left one is  old, you can imagine the size finally.

Hand painted silk curtain: Red orchid

Here is another beautiful silk curtain.

My favourite theme from nature was little bit exotic: red orchid. Generally I accented very soft black lines for drawing and then I painted it with the huge amount of gamut of reds.

It is very large curtain: 230 x 90 cm. Ponge 5.

Dramatic lines in black and gold you can see in these detailed views.

This curtain closes the Red Orchid set, which contains pillow, scarf and curtain.

Hand painted curtain - Egypt

Here is another silk curtain - original painted by me on extra large silk (ponge 5).

I was inspired with egyptian patterns and colors (especially black and gold).
The result is very soft and clear and I think that heavy middle part is compensate with wattercolored style of its surroundings.

Here you can see what normal light does with colors.

Egypt or wasp? Heavy middle part.

I also painted with the same theme pillow cover and scarf, you can find them in my shop also.

Success tips from the successful etsy seller

Hi all, I want to share with you very interesting interview with one etsy seller, which lives in Netherlands and work alone. But her tips for promotion are helpful.
interview by Brenda from Lindecise
Please read and be inspired :-)

"This time we go to the Netherlands to see Bai from ThongBaiTatong.
Bai’s shop is actually what we can call a “new” arrived; she started her business exactly eleven months ago, but the fact is that Bai has made 457 sales in nearly one year only!
We, newbies on Etsy are often asking so many questions about how much time does it take to set a solid base for our business, or how to improve our shops…and so on.
Then I was really curious to ask some questions to Bai, and she was very happy to share her experience with us.

Hi Bai, Your business has grown fast in less than a year (457 sales in nearly a year!), please, tell us a little bit about who are those customers and how they found you on Etsy.
Around 90% of my customers on Etsy comes from America. I believe that they find my shop via the Etsy website itself. I relist my items daily and once in a while my items are featured on the Front Page. These things bring a number of visitors to my shop.

I don’t have a Twitter account. I do have a Facebook account but have not updated anything on it since the first day I opened it about a year ago. I blog about once a week. Then again, people who visit my blog usually know me via my Etsy shop. It would not be wrong to say that most of my customers find me via Etsy.com itself.

Which are your best marketing tools for online selling (in your case, clothes and accessories) and how they work for you?
Because I work alone, production is very important. Most of my time is spent on sewing and hardly on marketing. The combination of blogging, making treasuries to help promote other members’ products and relisting, is the main marketing tool that works well for me so far. However, I believe that there are other factors that make marketing work more effectively, such as the sorts of products I offer and how I present them. You try hard to bring people to your shop. You even pay (many of the 20 cents to Etsy) for these people to come. And when they finally come you have to be convincing enough to make them buy from you. So I encourage visitors to stay, look at the pictures, and read the descriptions. I do this by trying to take good pictures, writing detailed descriptions, being eager to help and provide the best service that I can, etc."

Silk painted curtains: Beans

This is my other hand painted silk in large size. I love nature and minimal art and I can find very interested patterns or shapes in small pieces of our surrounding. If you try to zoom something like beans, you will discover beautiful details.

You can see interesting view outside the window :-)

Silk: ponge 5
Meassurements: 230 x 90 cm each part (90,6" x 35,4").
It paints the house with many colors, every time during a day or night it changes its color balance and makes interior unique.

If you are interested in this conception of original and very specific style of curtains, feel free to ask me more questions. I painted this with passion and love and each piece is one original.

Blue Stem - Hand painted silk curtains

These curtains are made with my pure fascination of silk painting. I combined here blue and yellow colors. Domination of blue stem with black details is in the main part of diptych - is making full picture when both parts are together.

I am always looking for right light. Silk has a great attribute: is soft and clear.

Silk painted triptych: Sunflower

This handpainted silk curtain consists of three parts. Middle part is only drawing with outlines: gold, white and black, and can stay at tha window all day, like usual curtain. Left and right wings can modify this window - or balconny. You can cover middle part and make colorful exposition - and at least you have two sunflowers!

Because I love sunflowers at all, I had to  compose them into this soft material with magical tendencies. You can - as always in case of silk - use the second painter - the Sun, and then you have changing dress for windows!

You can compare with my other curtains here: http://dgm-art.blogspot.com/2010/04/courtain-two-wings.html

Curtains - two wings, theme: Rye

I would like to introduce you my double curtain executed in silk with silk outlines and colors.
This painting took a bit time, so I hope you like it.

This curtain is suitable for large windows or balconny and - as you can see - is very colorful.

I wanted to color windows and room, make it beautiful and play the game with Sun, because its light is a miracle! It can change every time this curtain, its look. And sometimes (like glass vitrages do) can flicker pieces of colors and light on walls ...

These two pictures are made in night, so you can see changing colors, shadows and lights.

Back to the nature and look under

As everyone looking forward to spring might be nervous about snowing outside in the middle of March.
But spring is comming, don't worry, under the ground is every kind of root waking up and preparing for its new years' journey.
I decided to celebrate this magical happening as I can: with painting. For this time it is an abstract picture, that I will expose into my Etsy shop soon.

So what do you think, is it our hidden nature underground?
